Air-Fryer Crispy Turkey Cutlets

 Air-Fryer Crispy Turkey Cutlets

Air fryer breaded turkey cutlets are a quick, tasty weeknight dinner that feels fancy. This versatile recipe lets you swap the stuffing mix for Italian breadcrumbs, cornflake crumbs, or crushed crackers like Ritz, Wheat Thins, or bagel chips for a crispy coating.

Yield: Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 (6-oz.) box of turkey stuffing mix (any flavor or variety)
  • 1 cup regular or low-fat buttermilk
  • 4 (4-oz.) turkey breast cutlets
  • Nonstick spray

Preparation:

Step 1:
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F on the air fry setting, either with the basket in place or with the tray centered in a toaster-oven-style air fryer.

Step 2:
Place the stuffing mix in a large food processor and pulse until it forms coarse crumbs. If necessary, work in batches to avoid overfilling. Transfer the crumbs to a shallow dish or container.

Step 3:
Pour the buttermilk into a separate shallow dish or container. Dip each turkey cutlet into the buttermilk, ensuring both sides are coated. Then, press the cutlet into the stuffing crumbs, turning it to fully cover both sides.

Step 4:
Place the coated cutlet on a cutting board or wax paper. Repeat the buttermilk and stuffing process with the remaining cutlets. Lightly spray both sides with nonstick spray.

Step 5:
Arrange the cutlets in a single layer in the preheated air fryer. They can touch slightly but should not overlap. Cook in batches if necessary. Air-fry for 4 minutes, then flip the cutlets using tongs.

Step 6:
Continue air-frying for another 3 minutes or until they are golden and cooked through. Use clean tongs to move the cutlets to a wire rack to cool for a couple of minutes before serving warm.
